Our Story

Niranizhal was born from a simple yet powerful idea — to blend style with sustainability. Our founder Ms.Indhumathi Somasundaram envisioned a world where fashion doesn't harm the planet but instead uplifts communities and embraces mindful living. Every piece we create is a reflection of that vision.

From the beginning, we’ve embraced natural dyeing techniques — using plant-based colours that are safe for the skin and kind to the environment. It’s our way of honouring tradition while protecting the planet for future generations.

What We Stand For

At Niranizhal, we craft clothing that feels as good as it looks — soft on the skin, gentle on the earth. We choose natural fabrics and source from genuine heritage-rich places across India, ensuring that every piece reflects the country’s rich cultural legacy. We produce thoughtfully in small batches, ensuring each garment is meaningful and made to last. From design to delivery, our process is guided by care, intention, and respect.

Why the Name?

“Nira” means shade and “Nizhal” means shadow. Together, they symbolize comfort, protection, and the unseen beauty that supports us. Just like shade and shadow, our clothes are subtle yet strong — made to move with you, not against the planet.

Each shade we create comes from nature itself — coloured with plant-based dyes in a process where different hues don’t harm the planet, but honour it.
